Ellie’s doing fine, but a bit grumpy with the hot weather. We’ve got about 11 weeks to go. We’ve got a vague list of names but really need to whittle it down to something we’re both happy with. My suggestion of Abbey Rose was shot down with a stern look.

I’d thought of Abbey Rose for a girl. In fact, I was kind of thinking of naming my girl that (if I have a baby girl at some point, that is). I think it’s nice.

Offline ^ I really need to look over things, I was going to be named after my grandmother anyways but my parents didn’t know whether I was a boy or a girl, til I came into the world. My friend was going to be called “Michael Jordan” if she was born a boy, ended up being called Emma

Offline My mom wanted to name me Kathelijne, which is the Dutch equivalent of Catelyn, or Roosmarijn, which is the Dutch equivalent of Rosemary. My dad didn’t like those names but they both wanted me to have a tree or flower name, so they decided on Linde. She then wanted to name my little brother and sister after her grandparents, but my dad disagreed, because he couldn’t see why they shouldn’t be named after his parents (whom we don’t have contact with and have never done anything for us nor him) and so in the end they weren’t named after any parents.
Anyway, October 9 would be awesome. Good luck to Ellie and of course to you, Joe!

Offline Trust everything will go well. We had names for our first two but not for our third – we just knew what his name was when he joined us on the ‘outside’.
