The joys of a tire swing!

Confession: Whenever I hear the name ‘Bernie Sanders’, I think of Colonel Sanders.

Confession #2: Speaking of Colonel Sanders, I have never eaten KFC nor do I really want to.

I imagine you went to the one in Roscommon town, my friends like it. I’m more of a Supermac’s girl.

Semi-interesting fact: If you go to an Italian-owned restaurant/chipper on the west coast of Ireland, there is about an 80% chance that my dad did the plumbing there. Italian people love him for some reason…

The fun bit is that I (and whoever I happen to be with) get free/seriously discounted food!

I had a KFC recently, not out of choice but as part of work. The best part was the skin on the chicken. Wont be having it again for a long while.

Every Now And Then I have some – then when I eat it I remember (again) why I rarely touch the stuff.

It’s really not pleasant to eat but then little of these fast food outlets provide decent food. I personally dont believe its value for money.

I too have never eaten KFC, or at least to my knowledge. My grandmother wanted to take me there once, but we never got the chance to. Honestly, I was quite happy about that

^ Which reminds me. I have something cool to confess– two things actually:

Confession 1: I sleep with my Martin a-hard-days-night-ringo-6

Confession 2: I’m ridiculously, shamelessly proud of my Martin.

I hate the beach. I’m just not a beach person, and it gets worse when your entire body is covered in sand.

Embrace the sand and the sun (with appropriate protection) and the salt and the sea. 4S. Just get in that “I’m going to love it for what it is” mindset.

Okay, I know it won’t work, but it was worth a try 🙂

My 0018 is in it’s case under the bed.

I took the strings off some months back and a couple of weeks ago I read that guitars are better stored with their strings on (loosened) or the necks can warp…….It was in my diary to do this but it necessitates taking the mattress off and other stuff to get at it. Then ‘Cometh the dizziness’…… But as soon as I’m better I’ll do what’s needed play, ‘Here Comes The Sun ‘ and put her back under the bed……Bit of a waste but I have 3 guitars on the wall already. A beautiful Les Paul copy……My bespoke handmade acoustic…..which after 40 years plays beautifully and has a lovely ring. I enjoy taking a cup of tea and this guitar out onto my balcony and strum quietly while the sun rises over the Andaman. My fingers usually find the chords to ‘Old Love’ not for any romantic reasons but just because they are restful, wistful chords to play ……..You see a lot of sunrises as you get older.

And my last guitar is my mum’s old Spanish.

a-hard-days-night-ringo-8That reminds me of something I should probably confess for that part:

I’ve never (to my knowledge, at least) have ever gotten sunburn. The strangest part is that I’m outside alot and almost never wear sunscreena-hard-days-night-ringo-6

Here’s another confession that I was reminded of today because The Simpsons’ episode where Homer goes to New York was on. When I first remember seeing it (when I was about 6 or 7), I had no idea that Flushing Meadows was a real place. I remember when I was about 13 hearing some commentators talking about the tennis matches at Flushing Meadows and just thinking “It’s real a-hard-days-night-ringo-6“), that and I’m still partially upset that it isn’t a field full of toilets 🙁
