We had snow last night which lay deep and crisp and crispy and its freezing cold as i speak, well type.

No way! I should have had snow on Friday. Hopefully It'll snow in time for Crimbo. I envy those who live in Scotland right now.

No idea if i will be on over the christmas weekend (24th - late 26th) so a very merry christmas to all who visit these pages. Hope you have a great time with your loved ones, dont eat so much that you literally explode and have more fun opening your presents than the beatles do in this picture ->

He told us not to get overwhelmed by grief and whatever thoughts we have... to keep them happy, because any thoughts we have of him will travel to him wherever he is. (John Lennon - 27/8/67)

I promise not to literally explode of overeating. What a horrible way to die.

On the Beatles Xmas picture theme:

merry christmas y'all....

"Now and then, though, someone does begin to grow differently. Instead of down, his feet grow up toward the sky. But we do our best to discourage awkward things like that." "What happens to them?" insisted Milo. "Oddly enough, they often grow ten times the size of everyone else," said Alec thoughtfully, "and I’ve heard that they walk among the stars." –The Phantom Tollbooth

Just don't be tempted by the wafer thin mint.

You all will have read that Dave Dee is no longer with us. But Mickey and Titch and I would like to carry on the good work that's always gone down in number two.

Okay, no idea when I'll make it on again, so Merry Christmas!

I'm not joking when I cried with the first song of this video.

This happened in Monterrey. Honestly, I literally cried. They couldn't find a better song for this.

(Free internet access - woo hoo.)

I will admit i was misty eyed watching that vid Mith. A fantastic video and the joy on peoples faces!. There is something very powerful when people come together for whatever reason and music is so good at doing that. For all the talk about Johns Happy Xmas being a poor song, not just here, it does have an ability to bring people together even for just a few minutes. And i do believe that most war, violence and all that could be over if people were willing. But there are very wounded, hurt and angry people out there, whether rightly or wrongly.

Was listening to a non-christmas song earlier today which reminded me that for many people Christmas is not the time of joy and happiness that is portrayed by the masses, for reasons that dont need to be listed. So wherever you are, whatever you do, whether you celebrate christmas or not, i hope that happiness, joy and love finds you.

And thats my sentimental side over.

He told us not to get overwhelmed by grief and whatever thoughts we have... to keep them happy, because any thoughts we have of him will travel to him wherever he is. (John Lennon - 27/8/67)

...and while I'm at it, Happy Chanukah and Happy Kwanzaa and all that other good stuff too!

One day, a tape-op got a tape on backwards, he went to play it, and it was all "Neeeradno-undowarrroom" and it was "Wow! Sounds Indian!" -- Paul McCartney

Ah, so what did people get this fine Christmas? I got a 4th generation 32 GB (without a cracked screen like my last one) IPod (YAY), some music, some clothes, books, etc. Nothing all that Beatley. Oh wait… I forgot the YS ornament.

I didn't get anything Beatley either, although my friends and I are doing a gift exchange tomorrow, so I'm not certain yet. I got a lot of nice things, including a full set of Harry Potter books to replace the old, wrinkly, falling-apart-at-the-seams, chewed-on-by-my-dog set. I also recieved a pink and black striped pair of long underwear. a-hard-days-night-john-7 I plan to return this to the store as soon as possible. a-hard-days-night-paul-11

Sun King, my godfather also has a yellow submarine ornament.

I won't be back till after the new year, I'm going to Utah to visit my best friend, who moved out West over the summer. I haven't seen her since she left, so I'm really excited.

Merry belated Christmas, and happy early new year, to everybody here.

The only thing remotely Beatley I got was the Rolling Stone rock trivia book, which presumably has lotsa Beatle-related questions.  [checks book quickly]  In fact, now that I look at it, the huge headline on the introduction page reads...

                                                            Paul McCartney's Sheepdog

...unadorned, in huge lettering which the html fomatting here can't reproduce properly, as far as i can see.  But now that xmas shopping is over, I can start buying for myself all those Beatles books that I need! And the Anthology DVD, and etc.

Have a fab time of catching up with your far away friend seaglass. Those  pink and black long underwear things dont sound very pleasant so cant imagine what they look like to the eye.a-hard-days-night-ringo-6

I got a few beatles things: beatles monopoly, a photobook and official 2012 calender (my first beatles calendar since something like 2000 - i pay no attention to dates its either monday, tuesday etc never the 1st or 24th).

Plus a 4th generation ipod touch, my old one was 2nd generation, which was totally unexpected but my birthday is soon after so it was a tie in. Tho have discovered that i cant have the same number of songs on due to the increase in programmes included as standard and therefore less space for manually added content. Oh well, its a super-cool thing to have. If i can work the damn thing. Struggling to get home-sharing in operation but i was trying to do so away from home so maybe that is the reason. And for anyone who uses it, is itunes match worth the money?

I got "very easy Beatles piano arrangements" and since I have a (lousy) synth now, I can actually use it. I'm happy heart
