Classic bizarro thread, which I’d forgotten existed until glancing through the “Where are you from?” thread and was reminded of it.

Just out of interest, of the 830 posts you’ve left here so far, what’s the fantasy:truth ratio?

Depends on the story.

Or the thread.

Lol, I think there were about 5 different lies in that Bull of Heaven thread. But my all time favorite is that he recently had a bass or something signed by Paul McCartney .

It was a fake D: I found out when I cross-referenced an autographed Please Please Me album with it and it was nothing like it. Damn you Wisconsin!

That is one fabulous thread. a-hard-days-night-john-6

Between reconstructing the dreams thread and this, I think to myself: this used to be a very different forum.

The fact that someone from the “band” made an account to clarify is pretty hilarious too!

I’m so glad the forum is very different now. Reading all these old posts and the recent paulsbass incident show that.

If I spoke prose you'd all find out, I don't know what I talk about.

@mr-kite What was the paulsbass incident? I remember going through one thread where fellow forumpudlians were addressing him/her with no sign of paulsbass being there. I found that strange.

paulsbass deleted all of his posts. I missed the latest meltdown, I just see the references to it. The remaining posts in the Ahhhs in A Day In The Life thread offer some clue of what he was like though.

Now this isn’t nice to talk about former users like that. Obviously it’s good that things have improved but there’s no need to be rude.

I would normally agree, but these people, paulsbass and mr dear sun king prudence whatever their name was we’re both very rude, disrespectful, and argumentative. I haven’t read too many of Mr. Big’s posts, but it seems he just stretched the truth quite a bit.

We should probably just let them be unpersoned as Anna said, however.

Paulsbass was a great guy to have around until you got onto the topic of Paul v anyone as it then often became a long (at times very personal) argument of “i’m right, you’re wrong” if you didnt agree with him.

This thread (heavily edited by Joe due to where the levels it decended to) shows in some measure how it all ended.

I didnt like to see him go but it may have been for the best for everyone.

Note: must add that as with everyone else who has been on this forum to be respectful towards him.*

*edit: thats meant to read be respectful to everyone on the forum including Paulsbass.

And the link MMM posted along with the events leading up to it, are why you can’t delete your own posts anymore.

@Bulldog which might have come in handy when you mixed up the letter threads earlier. a-hard-days-night-ringo-10

@parlance – Don’t let the long-ago antics of (the occasionally amusing) Mr. Big or (much more deplorably) Daniel Strawberry Nazi colour your judgement – this forum used to be GREAT and still is!

Holy crap. There must be deleted posts following that because surely someone told him to learn some manners? I don’t care how bad someone is, no one’s creative urge or enthusiasm deserves to be destroyed like that.
