^ I have been working on the drums with Hey Jude and I think I can do it.
Well you know where to send it!
Did you get a mic yet though?
Because that’s an important instrument and the mic may not like how loud the drums are. The Michelle one didn’t sound like the quality was too bad though.
Edit: you did get a Snowball! Woo! I thought the singing sounded as if it was recorded well.

^ I also edited out all the background notice with Audacity which is a free product that can make help make recordings sound better

What song is it??And yay, Anna! did you get a decent mic? I still haven’t got one, but my laptop mic is actually not THAT bad… only problem is you can always hear clicking noises in the recordings (I’ve made a few), the sound of the laptop itself running.
I got a snowball one and you can edit out the extra noise with audacity
Thanks. I use Audacity to edit my songs (at the recommendation of both a real-life friend of mine and @MrMoonlight ), but Noise Removal doesn’t seem to pick up the clicks, it just makes my voice quieter. I’ll have to keep experimenting with it, though, I haven’t given it much of a chance.
And I replied to the post about the coda, Kite. Once I have the file with the piano and the lead vocals and everything I’ll gladly contribute to Hey Jude .
If I ever get a recording that I think comes out good in terms of vocal work (I’m highly critical of myself and I’m just fourteen – you know what I mean), I’ll send it along From Me To You . I’m thinking of just doing a vocal cover of I Want To Tell You (harmonies and all), because Y Not? (I can play the guitar riff at the beginning and end, but my piano playing is crap and I haven’t learned the chords.) Wow, I use parentheses often!

@Bulldog, Oh I know you saw Moonlights post, but in post 92 I explained the plan and “asked [you] for a contrbutiooon.”
I hope you decide to contribute!

Until we have more voices, bass, and piano (I won’t have access for a while) we can’t do anything yet.

Glady, @Joe! That is one cool uke! I wonder what song it’d go well on. If we were doing Pepper, the intro to She’s Leaving Home ‘d probably work.
Maybe you could do a rendition of Ram On for everyone.
I’ll have to learn Ram On . Surprised I hadn’t thought of it before. I’ve just about mastered Michelle , which sounds quite good on the uke. Honey Pie too.
This electric one (battery powered) has an in-built speaker which makes it sound like a louder acoustic uke, but I’ve got a digital modelling amp (also Vox) with loads of effects and it’s surprisingly good with the gain and distortion cranked up. Nothing like an acoustic anyway. So I thought maybe Helter Skelter ?

On Honey Pie I’m sure it’d be good, for Helter Skelter I think I’d be really interesting so we’ll see how it sounds.
It might be good on Don’t Pass Me By , Anna.

Alright, update time:
Mother Nature’s Son is in the works currently, with two great Forumpudlians!
@parlance – Vocals
@Sugarplum fairy – Guitars
There’s a small brass part in the middle, which we’ll probably just drop, but if anyone plays anything that can work there and wants to join, please do!
The songs won’t be put up until the whole album is done, just sent to the people on the song.
And in honor of Faceo, who doesn’t seem to be showing up sadly, I put together a power chord version of Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da , as his idea in the beginning was to make everything fully electric. I’ll be working on that when I get back up north, and if anyone wants to sing it, please post here or PM!

Looking forward to hearing the @parlance vocal on this track. There are a few drumbeats also but perhaps it will be all the better if it’s just simple acoustic plus vocal. The brass is nice though, quite subtle really.
It is subtle. I hadn’t really even noticed until I just listened to it looking for other instruments. The drum beats are simple, and I can tap them out on my guitar to see if that fits. Otherwise we can just omit ’em, because they’re not that important to the song.
If anyone can play the brass though, once again, please tell us!

Or maybe the drums could be tapped out with your feet like how black bird is.

Don’t worry ’bout it if you can’t.
I’m going to be recording the guitar for that soon. Still need a singer if anyone’s up for it.
