Here's the tracklist for the "Beatles – the world's best" LP
Seite 1:
Good Day Sunshine, All My Loving, Eight Days A Week, No Reply, Rock And Roll Music, A Hard Days Night, I Should Have Know Better, And I Love Her
Seite 2:
Things We Said Today, Michelle, Dr. Robert, Yellow Submarine, If I Feel, And Your Bird Can Sing, Girl, Eleanor Rigby
Damn, that was a great collection!
Hey! I know where I could buy it! It's so weird…
It includes a photo from 'Strawberry Fields' but doesn't include it.
Typic Germans…

I know…facepalm and a fail for this recording. They were all too high to do anything right. I've listened to part of it but can't bring myself to listen to all of it. John's grumbling through the part I listened to turned me off of it. Paul recalls it as being "hazy." My guess is, the pot and cocaine were freely flowing!

BitTorrent is a filesharing method. Here's a good description of how it works.
To get started, download a torrent client such as this. Then go to a torrent site (I tend to use The Pirate Bay but there are loads out there), search for something good, then download the torrent file (where it says "download this torrent" – avoid the big DOWNLOAD button on the Pirate Bay – it's just an advert).
Avoid anything that looks like it might be dodgy (people tend to leave comments on the page if the files are likely to be virus-ridden, so check before getting involved). Open this up in your client and start downloading.
It might seem complicated at first, but once you work out what you're doing a whole new world opens up. Obviously none of this should be used to download illegal stuff *cough* just files that are copyright free. Caveat emptor and all that.
I think I'm in heaven.

OfflineI don't know if you know it, but they did release a 2 lp version of beatles at the hollywood bowl in germany (it's no bootleg i think, it's from odeon and emi electrola and it's called the beatles at the hollywood bowl-the complete shows. I read that it was limited to 75 exemplars so it's very rare i think. I've just bought a new exemplar in a vinyl record shop for 24 euros. Have you ever heard about it?

OfflineThe only official and legit release of any beatles concert lp is the single disc compilation The Beatles At The Hollywood Bowl, everything else is bootleg no matter how good and official it looks and claims (excluding the germany '62 recordings which are live but not really a concert and not a true beatles release – so why am i even mentioning it).
A few other live concert tracks are on the anthology releases, The Beatles Story (a 1964 US album) & the Real Love cd single (Baby's In Black).

OfflineMaybe the information got tangled with the Star Club Germany double lp that was released around the same time but there is only one release of Live At The Hollywood Bowl which is a George Martin 1 lp compilation of the 3 concerts.

My old man has a bootleg of The Black Album. All those Get Back session tapes. Good stuff on that one!
Mwahaha I can beat that! I have the entire purple chick let it be sessions. It contains nearly everything that was recorded. 13gb and over 100 hours long. Still haven't listened to all of it…yet.![]()

OfflineAnyone who manages to listen to the complete Get Gack sessions (that is every available second) deserves a special gift from Apple. 30 minutes of Paul playing The Long and Winging Road over and over is testing, throw in the hours of rehearsing Maxells Silver Hammer and the Yoko 'improvisations' and you deserve a Beatle coming round your house for a chat.
I started listening to the 31st January '69 session months back and i still havent reached the end. Theres too much other stuff to hear in the world, no point in dragging myself thru that; self-flagellation of the highest order.

OfflineI recomend the Anthology's. They are awesome. I'd have killed John Lennon if he had them before anyone else and if he was alive then. Not really sorry John, forgive me for an apple![]()

OfflineI didnt get what it Beatles In The Bloods post was about.
I was thinking that a 'new' 10 track Beatles album is sitting there waiting for release on itunes: The 6 unavailable tracks from the b-sides of the Free As A Bird and Real Love cd singles, the 3 bbc tracks that were on the '94 Baby Its You Ep single thingy, and the horridly edited piece of useless cash-in guff that is The Beatles Movie Medley from 1982 (Im actually quite offended that that piece of shit is on my laptop). Apple could even shove on a few rare mixes from across the many seas (the capitol vol 1 & 2 boxsets are just sitting there available to buy) and make us buy it for £11.99 on a shiny cd or £8.99 as a download. No need to dig down into the archives either. I should get a job working for Apple.![]()

Not sure if meant to be funny. Not funny.
How do you know it wasn't funny? It didn't even make any sense. Maybe it would be funny if it made sense.
I don't think anything could ever be funny that included the phrase "I'd have killed John Lennon if…"

You never know. Those types of jokes don't offend me, and as long as the intentions aren't actually there, it doesn't matter, really.
I've laughed at some Dead Beatle jokes over the years. Always liked George's reply in an interview to a question about what it would take to reunite The Beatles, before The Threetles came into being. Perfect deadpan, "Three bullets." Just can't imagine good joke that involves saying "I'd kill a Beatle if…"
