Hello there. Hope I’m not making a faux-pas by starting a new thread for this, but I thought maybe you’d be interested in this piece I just posted looking at songs from the last three decades that seem to have taken a strong influence from tracks on Magical Mystery Tour

Feedback/suggestions/vague threats gratefully received.

All the best,

I was going to move it to the Pimp Your Stuff thread (where it belongs, really), but you get to stay by mentioning Super Furry Animals and Gorky’s, two of my favourite bands.

Can buy me love! Please consider supporting the Beatles Bible on Amazon
Or buy my paperback/ebook! Riding So High – The Beatles and Drugs

Don't miss The Bowie Bible – now live!

Haha, that list is more like songs from the last TWO decades rather than three, otherwise I’d have heard more of them than just Cornershop and Apples in Stereo!

You might have included Tears For Fears’ “Sowing The Seeds of Love” (sounds like a mix of “I Am The Walrus ” and “Hello, Goodbye “)

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

Pretty hilarious that he made the same “faux-pas” twice within two weeks

The following people thank Von Bontee for this post:
