Ugh. Well, with a lot of songs, at times I like them, at times I don't.

Listening to Help! this morning,

best: Help!/You've Got to Hide Your Love away / Ticket To Ride

worst: Act Naturally

Yesterday should've been further up in the playlist...were they thinking it wasn't such a strong song?

I don't really like "Yesterday" due to the fact that it's so overrated. It's good, but not that good. They were embarrassed of it at first, but it's like people CONVINCED Paul to like it. The melody can get obnoxious. I like it, but not all that much.

I feel the same way. It’s become very overplayed and I don’t like that it’s one of their songs that everybody who doesn’t really listen to them associates with them. It is a good song and it’s well-written, but I don’t consider it a good snapshot of what they’re capable of.

Favorite Starbucks drink: Chai, baby, Chai.

I do like Yesterday, although I consider it as a Paul McCartney song rather than a Beatles song.

PPM: Favourite: Anna (Go To Him). Least Favourite:  A Taste Of Honey.

WTB: Favourite: It Wont Be Long. Least Favourite: Hold Me Tight.

AHDN: Favourite: I Should Have Known Better. Least Favourite: Im Happy Just to Dance (With You).

BFS: Favourite: No Reply. Least Favourite: Mr Moonlight.

Help!: Favourites:  I Need You/Its Only Love. Least Favourite: [Ermmm...] Act Naturally.

Rubber Soul: Favourites: You Wont See Me. Least Favourite: Nowhere Man.

Revolver: Favourite: And Your Bird Can Sing. Least Favourite: [If forced to the point of having a gun to my head and the trigger being pressed] Yellow Submarine.

SPLHCB: Favourite: Lucy/Mr Kite/ADITL. Least Favourite: Pepper/With A Little Help.

MMT: Favourite: (from the ep) I Am The Walrus (from the album) Strawberry Fields. Least Favourite: Blue Jay Way.

TB (aka TWA): Favourite: [How do you opt for one, two or three out of say 12] Erm… Happiness/Long Long Long. Least Favourite: Goodnight (Revolution is not your normal song and therefore i dont treat it as one, and even if i did it would probably still be Goodnight).

AR: Favourite: I Want You (She's So Heavy). Least Favourite: Oh! Darling.

LIB: Favourite: Two Of Us. Least Favourite: Across The Universe.

PM Volume/Disc 1: Favourite: From Me To You. Least Favourite: The German tracks.

PM Volume/Disc 2: Favourite: Old Brown Shoe. Least Favourite: Across The Universe.

Across The Universe is a beautiful song just not the 2 original mixes. On Let It Be its far too slow and boring, on Past Masters way too fast.

On the Hamburg bootlegs you can hear Paul, when introducing A Taste Of Honey, say, "a song john's going to hate" followed by George's "no!, he'll love it".

Don’t make your love suffer insecurities, trade the baggage of self to set another one free. ('Paper Skin' - Kendall Payne)

Edit

I'm looking at this list again, and I have to admit I have changed my mind on quite a few of these songs. It's just amazing how good the Beatles are. One day, you really like this song by them, then the next day, you find another song that you like better.

I think the number 1's are his favorites. Though I'll never understand someone like Dizzy Miss Lizzy over I've Just Seen a Face. Different strokes! That's the lovely thing about The Beatles...so much variety that almost no one has the same favorites list.

No, you misunderstand, the number 1 means that is the best song (in my opinion) on each album, and the higher number represent the last number of tracks where I rank the song I like at least on each album. My favorite Beatles song however is "I Saw Her Standing There".

JohnDylan, funny I don't care for Only A Northern Song for the opposite reasons: the lyrics are actually OK, since they represent a dig at Northern Songs, the music publisher with whom they were having business "disagreements" ("it doesn't matter what a write... because it's Only A Northern Song..."). I just don't think it's a strong song - part of the throwaways given to the Yellow Submarine producer before leaving for India.

WARNING! You probably won't aggres with my choises here, because I have weird tastes in music (read my signature for more info) so don't judge me. And trust me NO Beatles song is bad. These are just ones I dislike.

F: I Saw Her Standing There
LF: A Taste Of Honey

With The Beatles
F: You can't make me pick! This is probably my favorite album.
LF: None

A Hard Day's Night
F: A Hard Days Night, Can't Buy Me Love, Tell Me Why
LF: If I Fell

Beatles For Sale
F: I'm A Loser
LF: Baby's In Black

Help!
F: Yesterday. This is my most favorite song. Ever. I have apromixated that if you combine all the times I have listened to Yesterday, it equals about 20 hours. BEST 20 HOURS OF MY LIFE!!!!
LF: You've Got To Hide Your Love Away

Rubber Soul
F: Michelle
LF: If I Needed Someone

Revolver
F: Eleanor Rigby, I'm Only Sleeping (that song is the story of my life. My average time to sleep in till on weekends is 2pm. My record is till 7pm. And it's not like I stay up till 2 in the morning. I get to bed at around 11pm)
LF: Love You To

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
F: Sgt Pepper/Little Help From My Friends (it has to be the medly one)
LF: Within You Without You

Magical Mystery Tour
F: Penny Lane and Your Mother Should Know
LF: Blue Jay Way

The White Album
F: Back In The USSR
LF: Revolution 9

Yellow Submarine
F: All together Now
LF: Only A Northern Song

Let It Be
F: Let It Be
LF: Dig It

Abbey Road
F: Here Comes The Sun
LF: Come Together (I'm gonna get a lot of crap for this but to me its just a boring song)

I liked The Beatles before it was cool. (as in, I like all their music before 1965. I mean, I still like their later stuff but am very picky about what songs I like, while their older stuff I love it all. I am just not a fan of drugged out Beatles. Drugs scare me.) [  ] Single [  ] Taken [X] Mentally dating Paul McCartney George fell off the bandwagon! (inside joke)

She just doesn't like that song. It's as simple as that. Some people have different opinions than yourself.
