OfflineWell, I briefly changed it to that one photo that I really love of them, but then I found the current one and thought, “Hey, it’s blue! It’s nice! It fits my username!” So I went with that … But I’m sure I’ll change it to the other one after a while because it’s not so good a shot of Paul.
And in discussing the whole “have an awesome avatar” thing, I think I have sufficiently derailed this thread. Yay, I’m officially official!

I remember that day - including that horrid bright red 9. I like your avatar now, mr. S. It's one of my favorite albums.
And yes, Blue Nicey - derailing this thread put the cherry on top.

OfflineBoT: Having heard Pepper in mono, I'm changing that album.
LF: Title Track. Too short. I also don't like segue songs like this. However……
F: Sgt. Peppers Reprise/ A Day In The Life. If this needs explanation, you aren't a fan.

1. "Aid?" What are you, a wimp?
2. It's even cooler if it's Zig himself.
3. An awesome signature helps too.

3. "Categories?" I'm experiencing some confuzzlation, which is much more fun to type (and say) than "confusion."

OfflineI like to think my signature is already pretty awesome. And if ya don’t like it, tough cookies, because I heart my Starbucks Tall Skinny Chai Latte and the mild Beatle reference I associate with it!
Btw, as I was typing this, a commercial came on with a cover of the song “All together now.” I don’t remember what it was advertising; I was too excited about the reference to pay attention.

OfflineI'm not sure if I did this one or not yet. Even if I have, here is how I feel today.
Please Please Me
F: Twist And Shout – John’s vocals and the last few beats of the song – love ‘em both
LF: Boys – I had to pick one LF; this one is by default only because I wish they had been able to change the title on this cover to Girls.
With The Beatles
F: It Won’t Be Long – I can’t believe this wasn’t a single.
LF: Devil In Her Heart – I’m glad this is not an original.
A Hard Day’s Night
F: You Can’t Do That – I love George’s guitar playing throughout.
LF: I’ll Cry Instead - default
Beatles For Sale
F: Eight Days A Week – One of my wife’s favorite sing-alongs. Makes me smile every time I hear it.
LF: Rock And Roll Music- I actually enjoy this song for the first 837 verses. After that it gets a tad monotonous.
HELP!
F: Ticket To Ride – from the minute I start this album, I can’t wait to get to this song.
LF: It’s Only Love –default
Rubber Soul
F: Norwegian Wood – One of my favorites for as long as I can remember.
LF: Wait – default
Revolver (this is the hardest album for me to pick F vs. LF)
F: Love You To – How can you not like a song that suggests we “Make love all day long – Make love singing songs”?
LF: Good Day Sunshine – default
Pepper
F: Seriously?
LF: A Day In The Life – gotcha! Actually, my LF (again by default) is Getting Better.
Magical Mystery Tour
F: I Am The Walrus
LF: The Fool On The Hill – No default here. I have tried forever to get behind this song – just can’t do it. I don’t really dislike it, just not a huge fan of it.
The Beatles
F: While My Guitar Gently Weeps – For the longest time it was my absolute favorite Fab song.
LF: Good Night – Written by John as a lullaby for Julian. I wish it stayed that way. Probably kept Julian awake nights.
Yellow Submarine
F: Hey Bulldog – Awesome guitars & the barking/dialogue between J & P at the end is funny.
LF: Only A Northern Song – this one could easily be a favorite if it wasn’t for all of the seemingly “forced” sound effects. The Anthology version, to me, is so much more enjoyable sans the unnecessary production.
Let It Be
F: I’ve Got A Feeling – I wanted to say One After 909 but this is not my favorite version (Anthology).
LF: The Long And Winding Road – This one is growing on me, though.
Abbey Road
F: Something – unless I can pick the entire medley.
LF: Oh! Darling – default
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, Let it roll for all its worth.

That "A Day in the Life" thing made my head explode. Then I had to get up and put it back together so I could read about "Getting Better."

OfflineSince Revolver is the only album I've heard all the songs for, I'll just list the songs from my favorite to least favorite. Since I'm a bit of nerd, I used a program I had written back in early 2010 to help my sort out the list. I've finally got some use out of it! I have to tell you, I was shocked by the results. In my head I already had "I'm only sleeping" and "For no one" tied for first, but I guess I can't argue with results:
1. I'm only sleeping
Awesome song. It's songs like these on Revolver that left me shocked that I didn't even know that they existed and leave me excited to explore other albums. I'm not too sure how I feel about the backwards guitar so I guess it's a tad bittersweet.
2. Eleanor Rigby
3. Good Day Sunshine
4. For No One
Wonderful song. It doesn't make me sad at all. And I still feel like it tied with "I'm only sleeping".
5. Got to Get You into My Life
6. Tomorrow Never Knows
7. And Your Bird Can Sing
I was floored by this song. Not because of the song itself, but by who sings it. I would of bet my life that Paul was singing this song. I found out just now when I went to Wikipedia to get the track listing. Even when I listen to it now I still can't believe it's Lennon. Color me shocked.
8. Here, There and Everywhere
Some say it's too sappy, but I like it.
9. Yellow Submarine
I still wonder what this song would sound like if Paul sang it.
10. She Said She Said
11. I Want to Tell You
Once again, I'm shocked. I thought this one was sung by Lennon. But now that I listen to it again, I can hear George.
12. Taxman
Not a big fan of this one.
The last two I'd be cool with if I never heard again.
13. Doctor Robert
14. Love you to
Don't dig the Indian style at all.
