A literal NorwegianDood. Nice to meet you! But I have to disagree with you on Baby You're a Rich Man. It's no SFF, but it's still one of my favorites.

Ad hoc, ad loc, and quid pro quo! So little time! So much to know!

*reads*

M-hmm, m-hmm, m-hmm, snort!

*gets to Revolver*

WHAT?

*starts singing "She Said She Said" just to be a pill*

If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind that is confusing things.

Yeah, I know – three of his least favourites are my MOST favourites!

But welcome to the forum all the same, NorwegianDood! (cool name)

So, we’re really doing favorites/least favorites, right? As opposed to what we think it the best/worst? Idk, there’s a difference to me. And as hard as this will be, I will limit myself to only ONE favorite per album!

Please Please Me
:) Misery
:( Boys

With the Beatles
:) Please, Mr. Postman (even though it’s not technically a Beatles song)
:( Roll over, Beethoven

A Hard Day’s Night
:) Things we said today
:( Tell me why (Once the song gets going, I like a lot more. The intro just kinda sounds unlike them somehow.)

Beatles for Sale
:) Every little thing
:( Honey, don’t

Help!
:) The night before
:( Dizzy Miss Lizzy (The intro always scares the crap outta me because it’s way too intense.)

Rubber Soul
:) Run for your life (Keep the hatin’ to a minimum, people.)
:( What goes on

Revolver
:) Tomorrow never knows
:( Yellow submarine

Sgt. Pepper
:) Lucy in the sky with diamonds
:( When I’m 64 (It makes me think about getting old!)

Magical Mystery Tour
:) Blue Jay Way
:( Hello, goodbye (I just think this is the weakest song on the album. Totally love the fun ending part, though. It always makes me smile!)

White album
:) Dear Prudence (Disc 1) / Helter Skelter (Disc 2)
:( Piggies — cringe (Disc 1) / Good night (Disc 2)

Yellow Submarine (Not counting George Martin’s stuff or repeated tracks … which doesn’t leave much)
:) It’s all too much (Again with the making-me-smile thing.)
:( All together now (The speed progression stresses me out! Haha)

Let it be
:) I’ve got a feeling
:( The long and winding road (Same thing as When I’m 64 and Good Night — it just makes me think of endings.)

Abbey Road
:) You never give me your money (If the medley doesn’t count.)
:( Octopus’s garden

Fine print: Please remember that these are only my opinions. All current opinions are subject to change. Don’t hate me for having something against Ringo’s singing (exception: With a little help from my friends). I love every Beatle and every Beatles song to the core; some of the tunes just aren’t my taste. And some of these were re-he-he-heally hard to nail down to favorites!

Favorite Starbucks drink: Chai, baby, Chai.

Please Please Me

Yay: I Saw Her Standing There – I wonder what it was like to hear that in 1963? It must have sounded so new and fresh.

Nay: Baby It’s You

With The Beatles

Yay: It Won’t Be Long

NAY: Little Child

A Hard Day's Night

YAY: You Can’t Do That – It’s like heavy metal from 1964

NAY: When I Get Home – The worst Lennon/McCartney song IMO on ANY album

Beatles For Sale

YAY: No Reply

NAY: Mr. Moonlight – Terribly dated, even for the time it was recorded

Help!

YAY: Help!

NAY: Dizzy Miss Lizzy – Boring, doesn’t bring it like earlier album closers

Rubber Soul

YAY: Tough to pick a favorite

NAY: What Goes On – Sorry Ringo

Revolver

YAY: Tomorrow Never Knows

NAY: Love You Too – Only hints at the great Indian-inspired songs to come

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

YAY: A Day In the Life – Epic

NAY: When I’m Sixty Four – not that it’s bad, just the weakest on the album

Magical Mystery Tour

YAY: Strawberry Fields Forever – Could be my favorite song of all time

NAY: Baby, You’re a Rich Man – poorly recorded to my ears, very thin sounding

The White Album

YAY: Helter Skelter – Crank it up!

NAY: Honey Pie – makes me vomit a bit in my mouth every time I hear it

Abbey Road

YAY: Everything!

NAY: It’s all good

Let It Be

YAY: I’ve Got a Feeling – drenched with atomosphere

NAY: For You Blue – it’s a nice diddy, but I can’t understand why they rejected All Things Must Pass instead of this!

Yellow Submarine

YAY: Hey Bulldog

NAY: Only A Northen Song – kind of boring

I like Penny Lane's distinctions between songs. Very diplomatic of her! :)

 1.) Welcome to the forum.

2.) How can you praise the one song and damn the other one – which sounds almost excactly like the first one?! I like both very much and always get confused when trying to hum them. Same groove, same attitude, very similar arrangement.

Magical Mystery Tour

YAY: Strawberry Fields Forever – Could be my favorite song of all time

NAY: Baby, You’re a Rich Man – poorly recorded to my ears, very thin sounding

Nope, sorry, if that sounds thin to you something's wrong with your audio system…

The White Album

YAY: Helter Skelter – Crank it up!

NAY: Honey Pie – makes me vomit a bit in my mouth every time I hear it

That's too bad, it's such a sweet hommage song!

 OK, let's try.

Please, please me:

There's a place – Baby, it's you

With the Beatles

Please Mr. Postman – Don't bother me

A hard day's night

Tough. I'll be back or You can't do that – Can't buy me love (just too overplayed)

Beatles for sale

No reply – Baby's in black

Help!

Ticket to ride or You've got to hide your love away – You like me too much (one of their weakest ever) or Act naturally

Rubber Soul

The word – You won't see me (maybe if it wasn't right behind Nowhere man it wouldn't sound as repetitive).

Revolver

Tomorrow never knows – I want to tell you (another weak Beatles song)

Sgt. Pepper's

the best is ADITL, but my favourite is probably Fixing a hole – Lucy in the sky with diamonds (not bad, just overplayed)

White Album

Dear Prudence or Mother nature's son or Helter Skelter or Everybody'S got something to hide or… – Revolution 9 (That was easy)

Magical Mystery Tour

Tough. Many great songs with no special favourite. – Flying

Abbey Road

I want you (She's so heavy) and the Golden Slumbers etc. Medley – Oh Darling! (gets a bit annoying)

Let it be

I've got a feeling – Let it be, since the single version is better (not counting the session bits)

The song Help or You Like Me Too Much off of Help? I'd have to agree with that one, it's one of my absolute least favorites. I like how Please Mister Postman is getting some love, that song is awesome.

Whereas no one objects to arson (Norwegian Wood) or theft (She Came In…). And for the last time, it is a dramatic monologue.

Find me a quote from Lennon calling it that, and I won't object
