I have heard that the compressed nature of the sound coming off itunes pretty much obfuscates the re-mastered quality. This gets further deteriorated when put on an ipod.

So buying remastered music off itunes and then putting it on an ipod is counterproductive.

The best sound of remastered Beatles is going to be CD's into your headphones or off a USB stick which I'm told is amazing.

Anyway that's my understanding. So I intend to skip any remastered marterial off itunes.

For one, I have never really been interested in buying anything from itunes. Now we have this gap on our shelves where anthology albums may never be
