I grew up with vinyl.  I've still got a ton of vinyl albums.

The purists are deaf and quite possibly insane.  CD quality is superior, and it's not even close.

After Capitol learned that the publishing for the "Magical Mystery Tour"
songs, including "I Am The Walrus", had been assigned to Comet Music
Corporation, labels were revised to reflect the proper publisher.

AFAIK Maclen published the songs in the US (and elsewhere?), Northern Songs in the UK. The whole issue seems enormously complicated, but there's some info here: http://www.rockmine.com/Beatle.....tleCo.html

Plus getting up to flip the record makes me feel like I'm not just lazily listening to music, but I have an actual want and desire to hear it.

I own a few LPs: Rubber Soul (US, worn original stereo pressing), Rock 'n' Roll Volume 2, the Red Album (non-Apple label =/) and Abbey Road (newer pressing; the only LP currently in print in the US). I've also got a list of solo releases, but that's for another thread.

I have to say that given the choice I'd rather listen to vinyl now. Sennheiser headphones and the lights turned off.

My Red & Blue were on 8 track. Good riddance to bad rubbish - the technology, not the music.

We have Sgt Pepper, Abbey Road & the Hey Jude EP, and I would love to listen to them, but unfortunately, we haven't got a LP player...

I think, everything was better in the old days. I was definitely born in the wrong time... I'd like to have a transistor radio and a VW bus, walk around like a hippie and just live for the love. Love is all and love is everyone.

And the credits are J. Lennon – P. McCartney, G. Harrison and Richard Starkey! Wow!! I had forgotten those little credits in the middle of the LP!!
