Sir Paul McCartney peformed to 60,000 fans at the BC Place Stadium in Vancouver, Canada, as part of his On The Run tour.
McCartney's previous performance in the city was with The Beatles at the Empire Stadium on 22 August 1964.
Vancouver, you are a mover and a groover, Vancouver.
Rumours that McCartney was to have been joined on stage by Bruce Springsteen turned out to be false, although The Boss was said to have been backstage during the show. The rumours appear to have originated from Tweets posted by radio station CKNW. Springsteen is scheduled to play Rogers Arena on the following evening.
Here's a clip of the Live And Let Die finale:
McCartney's band was Paul 'Wix' Wickens (vocals, keyboards, guitar, percussion, harmonica), Brian Ray (vocals, guitar, bass), Rusty Anderson (vocals, guitar) and Abe Laboriel Jr (vocals, drums).
To be clear, Vancouver, you rocked my freakin' face off for our whole show tonight. The best #seriouslyouttacontrol #radd #slumberparty?

For alternate review on above - "Macca" Live at B.C. Place, Vancouver - please read my two posts at this link: http://metronews.ca/news/vancouver/453304/paul-mccartney-rocks-vancouver/
I write under two usernames: Will Travis, and Willbt2. "Will Travis" writes an ecstatic a same-night review. If you will scroll further down same page from "Will Travis" you will find me writing as Willbt2. This second review was written the day after same concert as a "on second thought" review.
I am an ambivalent fan of Macca: The Music : fantastic (usually, with some awful occasional abortions). The Man: Macca has become The Great Walking Ego. He doesn't give credit to his bandmates or other collaborators on his various musical adventures; he childishly tried to change copyright on numerous old "Lennon/McCartney" songs to "McCartney/Lennon, because he felt that He did most of the work. (What The Great Walking Ego forgets is that without that "Lennon" half of things, there would have been no Beatles and no $billionaire Macca!)
I humbly submit this for your consideration.
