Paul McCartney live: Ahoy, Rotterdam, Netherlands

Paul McCartney performed at the Ahoy in Rotterdam, Netherlands, on 24 March 2012.

It was the 20th show of the On The Run Tour, which lasted for 37 dates between July 2011 and November 2012.

There were some new additions to the setlist. ‘Venus And Mars’/‘Rock Show’ were brought back in, possibly ahead of a reissue of the Venus And Mars album. The Kisses On The Bottom song ‘My Valentine’ was also performed.

In response to a call from the crowd asking “What about Ringo?”, a few lines from The Beatles’ ‘Yellow Submarine’ were sung before ‘Band On The Run’.

McCartney’s band was Paul ‘Wix’ Wickens (vocals, keyboards, guitar, percussion, harmonica), Brian Ray (vocals, guitar, bass), Rusty Anderson (vocals, guitar), and Abe Laboriel Jr (vocals, drums).

Wings had performed at the Rotterdam Ahoy on 25 March 1976. McCartney played there on 7, 8, 10, and 11 November 1989, and 9 and 10 October 1993.
