As a present for John Lennon's 36th birthday, Ringo Starr arranged for singer and actress Cherry Vanilla to give a special performance at the Dakota building.
Cherry Vanilla was an associate of Andy Warhol, and had acted in his play Pork. In the early 1970s she also worked as David Bowie's publicist. At the Dakota she performed a special version of Romeo and Juliet for Lennon and Yoko Ono.
Also on this day, it was reported that Lennon and ono planned to release a book, 365 Days Of Sean, which would consist of photographs taken by Bob Gruen of each day of Sean Lennon's first year.
