10.00am, Friday 18 June 1965 (46 years ago)

Work on Help! concluded on this day, with mono and stereo mixes prepared for the album and single.

Buy from Amazon

Help! (Remastered)

The Beatles. EMI 2009, Audio CD, $8.94

Rubber Soul (Remastered)

The Beatles. EMI 2009, Audio CD, $8.99

Past Masters (Remastered)

The Beatles. EMI 2009, Audio CD, $13.75

Two separate sessions took place, both in the control room of Abbey Road's Studio Two. The first was from 10am-12.30pm, and saw mono mixes created of I've Just Seen A Face, I'm Down, It's Only Love, Act Naturally and Wait.

The afternoon session took place from 12.30-1.30pm. In that hour, stereo mixes of six songs were created: I've Just Seen A Face, I'm Down, Yesterday, It's Only Love, Act Naturally and Help!.

A mono mix of Yesterday had already been created on the previous day. As for Wait, it was deemed surplus to requirements at this stage, although the recording was reworked later in the year for Rubber Soul.
