Travel: Rome to Nice

The day after their final show in the Italian capital Rome, The Beatles flew to Nice in France, ahead of their concert at the Palais des Expositions. Their flight departed at 11.35am.

Travel: Lyon to Milan

The Beatles stayed in Lyon, France after their two shows on 22 June 1965. On the evening of the 23rd they took the train to Milan, ahead of their first Italian shows on the following day.

The Beatles played two shows, at 8pm and 10pm, at the Palais d'Hiver de Lyon on Rue Louis guerin in Lyon, France. Each of the shows was seen by 3,500 people.

Day off in Paris

Following their two performances the previous day at the Palais des Sports in Paris, The Beatles had a rest day before travelling to Lyon for their next engagement.

On this day John Lennon made an appearance on the final edition of the BBC television show Tonight, presented by Kenneth Allsop.

The Beatles were due to perform their first Italian concert in Milan on 24 June 1965. Ahead of the date, they gave an interview for the BBC's Italian language service.
