This was the seventh date of The Beatles' 1964 British tour. It was also the second and final time they performed at Hull's ABC Cinema, following their concert almost a year earlier on 24 November 1963.

Studio Two (control room), EMI Studios, Abbey Road Producer: George Martin Engineer: Norman Smith The Beatles were on tour in Hull when George Martin made two mono mixes of No Reply. The session lasted from 2.30-5.30pm. Just one of them was released, and appeared on the Beatles For Sale LP.
