The Beatles were second on the bill for the New Musical Express 1962-63 Annual Poll-Winners’ All-Star Concert, held at the Empire Pool in Wembley, London. Topping the 14-act bill were Cliff Richard and The Shadows.

Live: Mersey View Pleasure Grounds, Frodsham

This was The Beatles’ only concert appearance in Frodsham, a market town in the county of Cheshire. They played at the ballroom at the Mersey View Pleasure Grounds, a popular destination for touring bands in the 1960s.

This was The Beatles’ first concert in Luton, Bedfordshire. They returned to the town on two subsequent occasions, but never to the Majestic Ballroom.

This was The Beatles only performance in the small market town of Tenbury Wells, Worcestershire. The concert took place at the Riverside Dancing Club in the Bridge Hotel.

Television: Thank Your Lucky Stars

This was The Beatles’ third appearance on the ABC Television show Thank Your Lucky Stars. It was shown in most areas covered by the ITV network on Saturday 20 April 1963 from 5.50pm.

Live: Co-operative Hall, Middleton

This was The Beatles’ only concert in Middleton, Lancashire. It took place on the day their third EMI single, From Me To You was released in the UK.

Television: Tuesday Rendezvous

Following their appearance on the BBC radio show Pop Inn, The Beatles went to Wembley Studios for a booking on the children’s television programme Tuesday Rendezvous.
