Live: Mersey View Pleasure Grounds, Frodsham

8.00pm, Saturday 20 April 1963 (51 years ago)

This was The Beatles’ only concert appearance in Frodsham, a market town in the county of Cheshire. They played at the ballroom at the Mersey View Pleasure Grounds, a popular destination for touring bands in the 1960s.

I live in Frodsham and am a huge Beatles fan. Always heard rumours that they had played at The View, back when it used to be the big barn, and it had the helter skelter on top of the hill and all that. Would love to know what it was like and what they were like, well just what the whole experience was like in general really ha.
