This was The Beatles' third and final show in Bedford, although only three of them took to the stage. John Lennon was bed-bound with a heavy cold, and so Paul McCartney and George Harrison re-arranged the group's songs to share the vocal parts between them.

Radio: The Friday Spectacular

The Beatles' UK tour with Tommy Roe and Chris Montez had a rest day on 10 and 11 March 1963. On this second day, however, the group made an appearance - their fourth and final one - on the Radio Luxembourg show The Friday Spectacular.

Just five days after their tour with Helen Shapiro ended, The Beatles embarked on another. Their second theatre tour began at the Granada Cinema on Barking Road, East Ham, London.

The Beatles appeared five times on the BBC Light Programme's radio show Here We Go (initially known as Teenager's Turn - Here We Go). This was the final occasion.

In the morning of 5 March 1963, prior to recording their third single From Me To You, The Beatles took part in a photography session in London.

This was The Beatles' fifth and final appearance at the Plaza Ballroom in St Helens, Lancashire. They had first performed there on 25 June 1962.

Television: ABC At Large

Following their performance in Sheffield as part of the Helen Shapiro tour, The Beatles travelled to Didsbury Studio Centre in Manchester for a live appearance on ABC TV's show ABC At Large.

This was The Beatles' first appearance at Sheffield's City Hall, as part of their UK tour with Helen Shapiro. They performed at the venue on five occasions in total: four in 1963 and once in 1964.
