This was The Beatles' first performance at the Village Hall on East Prestcot Road, Knotty Ash, Liverpool. It followed an appearance at the Grosvenor Ballroom in Liscard, Wallasey earlier that evening.

The Silver Beetles had played at the Grosvenor Ballroom in Liscard, Wallasey several times in 1960. This was The Beatles' third show at the venue in 1961, and the final time they performed there.

The Beatles' 37th lunchtime performance at Liverpool's Cavern Club took place on this day.
