This was The Beatles' first performance at Liverpool Jazz Society on Temple Street, Liverpool.

Although The Beatles had previously played three lunchtime shows at Liverpool's Cavern Club, performances at the venue were not regular. However, this day was the beginning of a week of lunchtime sessions held at the club.
