Live: Casbah Coffee Club, Liverpool

8.00pm, Saturday 31 December 1960 (51 years ago)

The Beatles ended 1960 with a performance at the Casbah Coffee Club in Hayman's Green, owned by drummer Pete Best's mother Mona.

This was the fourth and final time The Beatles played with stand-in bassist Chas Newby, following Stuart Sutcliffe's decision to stay in Germany with Astrid Kirchherr.
